Alaska – 2017

This year, we made a repeat journey back to one of our favorite spots – Alaska!

The last time we went to Alaska was in 2006 – and our son, Kevin went along with us.  It wouldn’t have been the same without him, so we brought him along this time too!  Kevin plans to one day move to Alaska – so he likes to visit there as often as he can.

We sailed on the Star Princess and had a great time.  Here’s an overview of our trip:

CRUISE ITINERARY – Voyage of the Glaciers

July 29 – Arrive in Vancouver, British Columbia – embark on Star Princess – Set Sail for Alaska

July 30 – At Sea

July 31 – Ketchikan, Alaska

August 1 – Juneau, Alaska

August 2 – Skagway, Alaska

August 3 – Glacier Bay National Park scenic cruising

August 4 – College Fjord scenic cruising

August 5 – Whittier/Anchorage Alaska & August 6 – Seward Alaska

All in all, we continue to love cruising, and consider Princess to be a cruiseline we will recommend to friends and family who wish to try cruising.  We have other cruise lines that we enjoy as well.  I think our current ‘favorite’ cruiseline is Regent because of their ‘all inclusive’ business model – but ulitimately, we choose a cruise because of the ports/itinerary – so I’m sure Princess will always be a favorite, due to their large fleet and diverse choices.

On to day 1!
