Days at sea…

December 13, 14 and 15th – relaxing days at sea

When we have sea-days we tend to relax, meander around the ship, explore, hang out on our balcony and just generally enjoy our free time. We don’t take a ton of photos but here are a few we took. I’m also including our blog entries that we tried to keep every day…

Day 3 – December 13 – At sea

Today was a relaxing day at sea. We slept in pretty late and had a quick bite at the coffee connection and then went up for lunch. Then we walked around the ship a bit and then found a card room where Adam and David played Cribbage and Susan and Cindy played Triominoes. Next we went to the trivia and did really well! The trivia is fun and we’ll be back! Before going to back to the room to dress for Dinner Susan decided to try her luck in the casino and won $280 in a slot machine! Hopefully she doesn’t lose it all. Later that night we had a nice dinner and then went to the evening show which was a comedy juggler. His show was OK.

Just exploring the ship
Winner! Sadly this was the only time I won anything significant
We were onboard for Hannukah – and they lit the menorah each night

Day 4 – December 14 – At Sea

This was another day at sea and another day where we slept in then went to the coffee connection. After lunch we walked around the ship a bit more and then went to the observation lounge where they do the trivia to play cards. Then we did the trivia and got an update on Bella’s progress at her training facility! We were told she’s doing great and we got a photo! It was so nice to see her. Tonight we dined at Prime 7 which is the ship’s Steakhouse! It was very good. Then we went to go see the dancing and singers show of “Divos and Divas” and we really enjoyed that. Unfortunately we got some bad news today that our port tomorrow, St. Barts, was going to be cancelled for us due to weather. We also got news that 2 out of the 3 tours we were going to do in Manaus was cancelled – they said due to weather but we think it’s because we are doing to be there on Christmas. We didn’t really see anything that interested us as alternative tours so we are going to just stick the the one “Meeting of the waters”. We spent some time on the balcony with David and Cindy next door until it got late.. Another sea day tomorrow!

The appetizer at Prime 7 – lots of yummy seafood
Surf and turf!
The amazing dessert at Prime 7 – a caramel popcorn sundae!
Another Prime 7 dessert – 14-layer chocolate cake!

Day 5 – December 15 – At Sea

Another relaxing day at sea! We didn’t do a whole lot on this day mostly just relaxed. It was raining on and off throughout the day. We did trivia (we did very good!) and we decided to try one of the specialty restaurants, Sette Mari, which was a combination of dinner and buffet.. It was OK .. Nothing really special. Afterwards we went and saw the juggler again and we didn’t like his show that much this time. Then we decided to go to bed earlier since we have to get up for a tour tomorrow.

Pretty rainbow around the sun – it’s called a Sun-dog

The next day we had our first port – Pointe A Pitre, Guadeloupe.
