More days at sea

December 28th, Cruising the Amazon River and December 29th and 30th – Cruising the Atlantic

Here are our blog entries for those days…

Day 18 – December 28 – Cruising the Amazon River

Today is our last day along the Amazon right. We had a leisurely morning but at 10:30 they had an equator crossing ceremony with King Neptune! If it was your first time crossing you could sit in a chair and they dumped ice cold water on hour head and you got a kiss this big fish.. that made King Neptune happy and you were then on his good side! It was lots of fun. Then we had lunch and just generally relaxed out our balcony for most of the day. We played some cards later in the day and the did the trivia. We have reservations today at Prime 7 which we had before but we weren’t very impressed. However, this time, it was better because we ordered different stuff and it was all very very good. But we were very full! Good thing tomorrow is another day at sea!

Day 19 – December 29 – Cruising the Atlantic Ocean

We moved the clock back an hour last night so we got an extra hour of sleep.. so we got up and went to the breakfast buffet then back to our room to relax.

Rainbow!

There were a few highlights of our days at sea – first one was the Neptune Ceremony – here are some photos from the fun…

Next they had one of those arapaima fish in the pool-side grill for lunch! They had only carved half of it and had the rest on display so folks could see how huge they were and see the large scales. They even had some of the scales set out to take if you wanted some – I took a couple for Kevin and David and Cindy took a couple. I don’t think any of us actually tried the fish but a lot of folks where ordering it!

One of the days we went to Afternoon Tea – it was very nice but in addition to the tea there were a bunch of pastries and bakery goods to try!

Of course there were many meals enjoyed while on our sea days – here are a few examples!

And we spent a lot of time on our balcony, enjoying the scenery…

Our next stop is Bridgetown, Barbados.
