January 1, 2024 – Happy New Year! – Roseau, Dominica
Roseau is the capital of the Caribbean island Nation of Dominica. Dominica was granted independence as a republic on November 3, 1978.
Today’s tour is a trip to Trafalgar Falls and then River tubing. We were a bit apprehensive about the River Tubing because we didn’t know if the water was going to be cold – but it turned out to be wonderful. Unfortunately, we didn’t get a lot of photos during the tubing because we had to leave our cameras back in the van – we were worried about getting them water damaged. David had his with him in a waterproof container so he got some photos though! I think the tubing was one of our favorite activities on the cruise. At the end they took us for some Rum punch which was VERY strong.
