Parintins, Brazil

December 26 – Parintins (AM) Brazil

Here is our blog entry for the day…

We have no tour today and the ship wasn’t scheduled to arrive until later in the day so we got to have a nice leasurely morning. There’s not really a whole lot to do or see at this port but we took the tender to shore and walked around a little bit. We were originally going to go see a folk-show that most of the ship’s passengers are going to – but when we saw the details of the show, we didn’t really want to go so we gave back our tickets. Most people we talked to really enjoyed the show – but I don’t regret skipping it.

We took some photos and looked at some of the gift stands that were around but nothing really looked interesting. It was very very hot so Susan and Cindy sat in the shade while Adam and David explored a bit more but there wasn’t a whole lot of interesting things to see here. It was very very hot so we decided to go back to the ship. After dinner at the Compass Rose we watched “Top Gun Maverick”. We’d all seen it before but it was fun to see it again on the big screen. Tomorrow is our last port in the Amazon 🙁
