Boarding Emerald Princess

Our old friend, the Emerald Princess. I think this is our third cruise on her!

July 27th Embarkation day.  We all met again for breakfast in the Hotel Lobby, and then it was time to pack up and get our luggage ready to be taken to the ship.  Our shuttle came and we took the long drive (about an hour and a half) to the cruise terminal.  Our luggage was taken care of for us from there – the next time we saw it was in our stateroom.

Some of the Italian countryside on our way to the ship.

We went through the check-in process, which was quick and easy – headed to our room, met our room steward, Gerardo Sanchez, and headed up to the buffet for a light lunch. We unpacked, explored the ship a bit.

Bonnie and Steve were our next-door neighbors!

Cheryl and Art were about 20 rooms away, but through the magic of our close-up lens on our camera, the almost looked like they were next door!

We attended Muster – enjoyed the sights from the top of the ship as we sailed away – and had a nice group dinner together.  Then we headed for bed since we had an early excursion the next day.

Home sweet Home for the next 2 weeks!
