Embarkation day – Vancouver, BC
We flew from LAX to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to begin our cruise aboard the Star Princess.
Big thanks to Adam’s parents who picked us up *VERY* early in the morning on a Saturday, and took us to the airport. It was a nice start to our vacation.
We arrived in Vancouver and took a cab to the cruise terminal. Kevin had traveled up to the terminal with his dad early that morning, and fortunately, we found him right away when we arrived at the terminal. Then we started the embarkation process.
The Vancouver terminal looks a bit like a cruise ship itself! The embarkation process was efficient, and well organized. Before long we were abaord the lovely ship and exploring and getting re-acquainted with the layout of the ship (we’ve cruised aboard her before).
We participated in the mandatory muster drill, had a nice dinner and relaxed in our room that evening. Kevin and Adam had a nightly ritual throughout the cruise of bundling up and sitting on the balcony – enjoying the views from the ship and chatting and just genrally relaxing and having fun. Susan found it a bit too cold to hang out on the veranda – but loved the opportunity to curl up with her Kindle and catch up on her reading.
After a day at sea, we will arrivve in Ketchikan (click here for the next day!)
